Hi all, Alan, I'm building a 5-pin DIN to XLR-M cable for use in connecting my Naim Nait XS3 amp to my P282.
I've got the DIN wiring diagram for the Naim end covered and I was hoping to get your help with the March end.
Btw, has anyone built such a cable?
Cheers, Joey

Hi Joey
The principle is the same as for an XLR to RCA adaptor cable, i.e. you need to use screened twisted pair "microphone" cable. Obviously needs to be thin enough to fit two cables into the DIN plug.
Do not use a single cable with the two cores for left and right, or typical coaxial RCA cable. This *does not* solve the ground loop problem inherent to RCA and DIN.
Below is the wiring diagram for a RCA to XLR.

I dont have the XS3 pre out connection diagram, but
For both the left and right channel cables the shield/screens and the (typically) white core conductors will ALL go to the DIN negative pin. Thats going to be fiddly.
The (typically) blue core conductors will go to the left and right DIN pins respectively.
Hope that helps. If you have a diagram of the XS3 pre out I can confirm.
